Several years ago Daja's family started a rotating holiday schedule. Last year we all celebrated Thanksgiving together and Christmas was either with in-laws or friends. This year Thanksgiving was on our own and we all celebrated Christmas together.So, a couple days before Christmas we loaded up the car and headed up to Papa and Nana's on the Central Coast. It was fun, fun, fun.
We were all there, including my brother and his family who live in Colorado. That means that there were 11 grandchildren--nine of which are boys! Can you imagine the blessed chaos?! Of course Papa and Nana could not have been more pleased!
My fabulous sister, Sarah-Kate, made Christmas Eve food (Christmas Eve photos in a separate post) and I was in charge of Christmas breakfast.
Christmas Breakfast:
Fried potatoes with bacon, peppers and onions
Fruit platter
Banana Bread, Apple-Cranberry Bread, and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread
Baked Brie with Raspberries
Baked Brie with Apricots
Cafe Bueno
Brunch Punch

Papa and Nana had matching T-shirts made for all the grandchildren. They say:

What a beautiful family. That looks like such fun. Your Christmas reminded me a lot of my Christmases past. I am the youngest of five (almost 10 years younger than #4), and have 10 nieces and nephews. We always had a huge crowd too.
I'm so glad you were all able to get together, how fun. It's encouraging to see just how many grandkids one can have with three children. Since I am done having children I hope my kids come up with as many as you guys have. You're mom and dad must just love getting them all together.
Is your baby due now too like Mary Beth's is?
